Paul Murphy – Principal & Director of GQ Independent Ltd
Paul was formerly a commercial investment surveyor with a large West End practice of Chartered Surveyors until 1992 at which point he re trained with the Chartered Insurance Institute and set up his own IFA practice in Chancery Lane WC2. Gilmour Quinn Ltd became a medium sized practice with around twelve advisers before deciding to diversify and move out of London in 2003. As a result, GQ Independent was established in Hertfordshire and we continued to act for both City clients as well as corporate and personal clients throughout the UK. Our client work includes many professional clients dealing with pension/property investment, clients seeking to self trade and a number of group pensions. Paul is married and lives in Guildford.

Rita has been with the company for 5 years and is a fully qualified and competent Financial Adviser. Although her expertise is predominately pensions she also undertakes all levels of financial planning. Rita has enhanced the pension and investment side of the business and has completed the final level of her exams and it is expected that the Practice will be Chartered and Certified by the Autumn of this year.
